Another Lovely!

June 19th Email

What a LEGENARY week!!! It was so good to hear from everyone. I am learning more, and more from The Spirit each day. The letter that you guys are getting this week might be a little jumbled, because I was in a really big hurry so yeah. Wow, I Love being a Missionary. Everything about it. I got the letter from dad this week, that really helped out a ton. Around Tuesday was really hard for me last week. I felt so inadequate as a Missionary, and didn't want my weaknesses to stop The work of The Lord (I know better now) So Elder Zundel, could tell I was having a hard time so we just went for a little walk right before we ate dinner at a Members house. And I can Testify that he is a man of The Lord, he was telling me everything I needed. Then later that night at ward council, The Bishop had me, and Elder Zundel try and help him with his laptop so he could show us a video. and so we tried to get the video to load but we couldn't so we gave it back to him and told him we couldn't get the video to play. Then when he was looking at the laptop he said "Here is the lesson for tonight: Sometimes when you think your not helping, you really are." He said that looking directly at me. HE was in tune with The Spirit, and knew what I needed to hear. THEN, this week has just been a week of Tender Mercies from The Lord. At District meeting, The AP was there so he brought Post for us, and I had two letters. One from Elder Brown, and the other from Elder Lewis. Wow. Those guys have grown. They are my Hero's. Same with Elder Neumann, I got a letter from him a few weeks ago. Oh!!! So did you guys hear about Gary The Scarecrow??? I heard he won the nobel peace prize. They say he was outstanding in his field.............. hahahahahahaha. I heard some pretty good jokes last night. Like, So two birds landed on a perch, and the one said to the other "Does it smell like fish to you?" hahahahaha. So good. I am SO happy out here guys! When you just find people, and you want to do anything for them. And when you see the words that you say in weakness be transformed by The Spirit into Something that ignites desire, and Love for The Lord in people. Wow. That is The Greatest feeling. I can't get enough of it. We have been watching those "District" Dvd's for Preach My Gospel. hahahaha. I now know what The American Accent sounds like. Anyway, I think something I struggled with at the beginning of My Mission was trying to compare my life prior to my Mission to the life that I'm leading now. I shouldn't have done that. Lyrics from a Relient k song has helped me realize that. "If you close your eyes, and listen close. You can hear that chapter close, and it's all re-bound in better clothes. And you'll like the way this story goes" When a chapter closes in our life you can think back to it, and Enjoy the memories. But you NEED to Move forward. Because the story only gets better. It feels like for the first time in my life I am actually moving past the past. On Friday we weren't really having too much success with people talking to us, but I feel like The Lord put people in my Path that I needed to talk to, whom I learned A LOT from. They were Three older men, one from India, one from Kenya Africa, and the other from England who had lived in the countryside his whole life except for recently. I have been thinking of them as "The three wise men" :) The First one from India taught about hatred, and how when you think bad of ANYONE it spoils you. We still need to Love Everyone. Because when we speak ill of someone we spoil our heart, and our tongue. The guy from Kenya taught about the simplicity of life, how everything around us comes from God. He took a very deep breath and said "That was from God" And it made me think how Simple, and Beautiful life can be. Look at the tree's, the mountains, the ocean, animals, Everything is for us. Then in broken English as we were departing he said "when do something. Remember God" What a profound thought! If we remembered God always how much of our mistakes would be prevented??? And the English man didn't really say much with words, but he was Truly happy. He was petting a cat when we came, and spoke to him. And he just told us about his life. I could see he didn't have material things on his mind, the only reason he moved to the city was because his wife, and Him needed to be closer to a store. I learned so much from these people. So people we are teaching. Ashley is doing really well, he is so funny though! But he will probs be getting Baptized around August, then we are going to be inviting another family to be baptized. The mom has had it pretty rough, and she has been feeling The Spirit very strongly. I want so badly for her to Feel that The Peace she needs is From Jesus Christ, and She can reach Him By Following The Doctrine of Christ. Then another guy told us yesterday after he had been in Hospital for a few days, and had been reading the Book of Mormon he said "I think your guys view on Christianity suits me better than my past religion.... It's more concrete." Wow. This guy is ready. He was part of C of E. So we will be seeing him. Then as we were going to his house this lady asked who we were, and we told her. Then she asked if it was alright if we could talk to her. OF COURSE!!!!! I wanted to shout in joy! haha. But she talked about how she has felt completely alone, and she feels like she saw us for a reason. I told her that I KNEW she did. Her name Is Natalie, She asked us to Pray for her, I will pray for her so very much. Scriptures that have been sticking out to me are Mathew 16:24-28, and 3 Nephi 13:21. Give up everything, and serve God. The attitude I want is like from that Ruth song "All I need is this guitar, and the shirt on my back" It doesn't matter what we wear or anything like that. My Treasure is the people I'm serving, That's where my heart is. I Love you guys so much. More than you can know. I am so happy that McKell Liked the presents:) Thanks for the Prayers. It's Elder Zundel's last P-Day....... Sad. So I will be writing next Wednesday. And The Mitchell's might be pretty busy, but you should definitely call them or something. I would Love that if they ate at our house. I Love them so much..... They are the best. I best be going now. thanks for everything. P.S. I just want more music!!!!!!!!! hahahahaha. Love yo! Love, Elder Wilson TRUE LOVE

June 11th Letter!!

Hello. How be you guys? First things first, I keep forgetting to > tell you guys this!!! Jordan better hear this. The Preston Temple is > built on Stone stuff from The Island Sardinia (not sure that's spelled > right) Just thought you would like that. It's a Beautiful Temple. > Happy Birthday to Cody, and McKell!!!! May the odds be EVA in your > FAVA! :) Concerning Sariah's inquiry of the Level of silliness, we > laugh A LOT. And we have this stuffed Bear that you can turn it's head > inside out, and then it turns into a monster! So I always put it in > Random places to freak Elder Zundel out, like on his bed, I tied it to > some floss and had it connected to the ceiling right above his bed, > and last night he wnt to the toilet, and he found a little friend > already using it;-) > But The work has been Amazing this week. The Lord really blessed > us. We are Teaching a whole Family, The kid's want to be Baptised so > we are working on that. And we found some really Amazing people. On > saturday we found this guy he had been taught by Sister > Missionaries like 5 or 6 years ago. Well, I will tell you the whole > story one day, but Basically He has been Prepared By The Lord. He had > a Book of Mormon but gave it to His Grandpa, so He was really excited > to get another one. And He has been suffering from a rare disease, > above all things with his Kidney's. It sounded pretty similiar to what > I had but worse. But The Spirit was so Strong, we are meeting with him > tomorrow. I Pray He can Feel The Spirit with all my heart. That's my > biggest desire. >> I think The Mitchell's have requested for Friendship as well, and they will have pictures of me!:) If you see > one of me not in Missionary atire.. haha. I can explain. We were > cycling in a town called Whetstone purnounced wetstin. Which the "Wet" > Is quite Ironic. Because it rained Like a Millsion gallons and they > were our dinner appointment so they let us get dry:) It was insane > though, I have never been so wet in my life! It was pretty cold haha. > But We had a "Man Vs. Food" At the Mitchell's. I didn't disgrace > TheWilson name is all I'm gonna say. Not only did I win, But The Only > one To finish!!!!!!! Did I mention I'm Learning Humility?;) But yeah, > you can see pictures of me when I'm there with them, and such. We are > doing a mini Mission with warren from tuesday night to thursday > afternoon. > Man there are some pretty hilarious stories that come from being a > Missionary. The other day we were doing something we call "Flog > 10'ing" It's where if you get Flogged (Wrong Adress, not home, stood > up, false adress etc.) You knock 10 doors in the area, Which really > works, that's how we found Mathew. But anyway, We Were Doing the FLog > 10 and we knock on this door, and this really old guy answers the > door, and he is from poland, or Russia, or Latvia or something. But we > told Him That we were sharing a Message about Jesus Christ, and his > eyes lit up when we said that, and he started bowing to us multiple > times. Then he stopped. His hands slowly went to the bottom of his > shirt, and he started pulling his shirt up... I had no idea what to > expect, I was about to be flashed by a 90 year old pole! So He got his > shirt all the way up, and just above his pecs was a tatoo of Jesus, > and Angels and stuff. I can't even describe how hard it was not to > laugh. He let his shirt down, and started blowing us kisses, so we > gave him some bows, and went on our way:) > The Chav's think it is really funny to make fun of us... Aparrently > it's hilarious that we wear Bike Helmets. They always yell and say > "BIble Bashers!" It's pretty great. And one day we were cycling home > and we were on a kind of desolate road around these massive farm > fields and for some reason I was singing "Sleigh Ride" Haha. And I was > singing i looked over at this kid in a car hanging out the window, and > then he threw a pop can at me (which I dodged) then he proceeded to > throw one at Elder Zundel which missed horribly. They then drove off > screaming vulgarities at us. We had a pretty good laugh at that:) Most > people are really nice though, really, they are:) > Thank you for The Email Cody, You Strengthened me In The Lord. It > was great. And Sariah, from your letter. Daily life is pretty much, > talk to EVERYONE, Ride your bike to an appointment, talk to everyone, > Ride your bike to an Appointment, repeated over, and over. But that > being said, It never feels the same, It feels new everyday. Everyday > is a completely new Adventure. That C.S. Lewis Quote about Love is So > True. True Love is Everything in this work. I'm not trying to be a > salesman, But a servant to of The Lord. What I'm telling people is > like John 7:17. > I have also felt Impressed to share what I have Learned/Felt in > studying this week. You know that box in Mr. Magorioms wonder > Emporium? We are like that box. It could do Absoulutely Nothing until > someone had Faith in it. But When it did have Faith in it, it could do > ANYTHING. It's Important to have Faith from someone else in us, but to > have it in ourselves, Most Importantly to know that God does. He NEVER > Leaves us alone. Please read Pres. Uchtdorf's talk on the why of > Priesthood Service. We are Never, Ever Alone. And we can do hard > things Because of The Atonement of Jesus Christ. I was reading Ether > 12, and I often just read Verse 27. But That verse is so much more > powerful if you know why The Lord said it. Moroni Felt weak, like he > wasn't up to the task because he couldn't write very well. Look at the > things he did through The Lord. How many people gained a Testimony > becasue of reading Moroni 10? > I Love you guys so much. Each week I look back on the previous > week, and feel that i was so much weaker the week before. I can't > really explain it... But I am Growing. My Faith In God Is so Much > stronger. Like Jacob said "I could not be shaken" I won't be shaken > from My Faith. I'm not alone in this. Thank you McKell for The > letters:) They help A lot:) And thank you for The Emails, and Letters > from the rest of you. They help more than you know. But Above all, > your Prayers help the Most. You have no idea how much Your Prayers do > for me. > The Jubilee was Amazing by the way. Don't listen to people when > they say English Food is bland! The pastries, and Everything are > AMAZING. > Guys. Do Temple Work, Do Family Hsitory work. It's no different > than what I;m doing. Please make goals to find people living, and dead > who NEED The Gospel, And we NEED The Experience that comes from it. > Keep Listening to The Music guys:-) Charity NEVER Faileth! It's TRUE > LOVE. > WIth Lots > of Love, Elder Wilson

June 4th Letter

Life is so good!!!! I feel SO happy right now!!! :) So dad is eating the broccoli no mo. That's good:) Over here, they classify a lot of there deserts as pudding when it's kind of just like pie, and ice cream:) But I haven't had one bad meal, they have all been really good. Fish, and chips are really good. They basically have ~"betos"-esque places but indian style. They are called pukka pies:) But they have burgers, and fish, and chips but with curry, and all that lot. We pretty much only eat at members houses, they are really good to us here. But we are out working the rest of the day, so we get pretty hungry:) But I don't really get hungry until I see the food to be honest. Because I have grown to Love working with people, and finding people. Sometimes I will be talking to someone, and they reject it, and it is so hard. They don't even know what they are saying no to. And I pray so hard that one day they will change. Like this guy, who kind of just wants to argue sometimes, But I really love him. Sidenote- He has the shack book at his house sariah, so you know what he is like:) But yeah, he tries to prove stuff wrong, and he really does have a belief in Christ. I want so badly one day to see him changed, and in The Celestial Kingdom. I Love to hear about kit, and scout guys:) And thank you SO much Jess, for that letter:) That market is really big! We walk by it a lot on P-days (today). Oh, Jord! Send me the pictures from our trip?? And sometime tell me how your other one went! haha. It has been rainy, and cold again. I keep feeling like it is Christmas for some random reason! Apparently, they start getting ready for Christmas around Aughust-September. So I'm thinking dad should come here around then;) But yeah, Sariah. The Muslims, and the hindu's, and the seekes (not sure if that's spelled right) are Amazing people. We are teaching a Hindu Uni Student named pareth. I am really impressed by him. When we gave him The Book of Mormon he treated it with great respect, and knew it was a book from God. And when we Prayed, after we were done he said "That felt really good" :) The Mitchell's, a family in the ward. Wow! I Love them. Basically like the weasley's! No joke! but they have a son warren. He is 17, man I Love that kid! He comes with us teaching all the time. And he might do a mini Mission for like a week with us:) These emails go all over the place just because it's my thoughts. I was readind 2 nephi, or Isaiah 5 today. It gets me so pumped! The last part is about The Work I'm doing! I'm helping fulfill Scripture from Thousands of years ago. I feel super Humbled, pretty much like a Million times every day. Sometimes I feel like I will never get better, but I guess that's just it. It doesn't matter if I get better as a Teacher, But as a Listener. To The Spirit, to The people. That's what it is about. I Love getting letters from you guys. And Dad, thank you so much for telling me about Dylan. Tell his dad that he really helped me a lot too. I Love those guys so much more now! Man, Life is Amazing. England is the best. Brother Abley, Another member. Who basically is The Bestest Missionary. Like The Second day I was in Leicester when he first met me the first thing he said was "Welcome to Zion!" I have really taken that to heart. The Diamond Jubillee Guys! History in the making! At first i didn't know it was going to be so big. But it's HUGE! So today will be fun celebrating Her Royal Majesty:) We sang God save The Queen in church. And I feel like Home here. It's my second home. President Ogden taught me that the more you Love The people, and The more you Love the history, and The country, The more effective as a Missionary I will be. President Ogden, and Sister Ogden are the best. The way he acts is almost identical to Dad. It's crazy how similiar you guys are. His favorite hymn is Battle Hymn of The Republic, we sing it alot:). So when we had our last conference as A Mission all together with them. When The conference was supposed to be done, A Missionary stood up and bursted "Mine eyes have seen The Glory of The Coming Of The Lord!......" And Everybody else Joined. He was Beaming With Love, and Everyone Was crying, and The Spirit. I don't even know how to describe how Powerful it was. I was Afraid before I came out that I wouldn't like The other Mission President as much, But I know I will Love him All the same. Elder Zundel is wonderful:) I learn everyday from him. We work SUPER hard, and laugh a lot. Well, The time is coming to an end for email this week:) I Love you guys, I Know The Gospel is True Now, more than Ever. And I know that will only continue to grow. Life is all about Growth. Just like the plants, and Vegetables you guys planted this week. Silly things that used to bother me, are no more. And that's all Because of Jesus Christ. Peace out. TRUE LOVE. Elder Wilson.
